This is an 87 bed student accommodation project for Ardmuir Developments circa £3.5m. This multi-award winning development was our first student accommodation development of any significant size for Ardmuir Developments. Ardmuir are one of Aberdeen’s premier student accommodation provider and we have worked with Ardmuir for over 15 years on a variety of projects.

We provided the full Architectural service to Bancon Homes in connection with this development in the purple belt of Deeside.
Along with large scale housing, we also developed main stream 3-4 bedroom homes and social housing suitable for the site.
Client: Drum Homes
We were commissioned to develop an apartment development on the former Aberdeen Canal side by Drum Homes. The site had some serious constraints in terms of existing services, the former canal line which is now a rail service line and the mix of usable amenity space in a city centre development. The end result is a good mix of colour utilising the Aberdeen Grey with some newer textures and balconies.

Our client was looking for an extension to their house where they could enjoy the garden. The brief was to design a subtle extension to the existing listed building at Cults house.
While utilising features of the existing house, we set about to design an extension which would sit nicely on the end of the house while always looking to be part of the house.

Our client wished to have an open and airy space attached to their steading conversion and we are pleased with the end result. Capturing the requirements of the client and also keeping the structure “neat” allowed us to produce a slimline extension to what is a very traditional conversion.

Currently on site this project is nearing completion. A private client commissioned us to alter their house which has for many years “just not been working” having had various extensions over the years. We carried out a “living study” with the client to understand how they lived and used the house in order to come up with final proposals for the alterations and extension.
