Our clients came to us with an exciting brief: create a street-level garage while adding a dedicated music room at lower ground floor level, seamlessly connected to their existing home. We also needed to maintain ramped access to the garden and design an attractive pedestrian stairway.

The family had their heart set on a traditional aesthetic using granite, which beautifully shaped the direction of our final design.

We appointed Chap Civil to tackle the groundwork . The team worked meticulously to retain the existing road structure and carefully reroute all services, all while the family continued living in their home throughout the project.

Henderson Construction of Banchory then took the reins as main contractor to complete the build.

The showpiece of this project has to be the stunning granite stairway, imported all the way from Germany. It features beautifully smooth sides and base, with a textured, non-slip finish on top – the perfect blend of form and function that really makes this extension special.
