The site for this project is located on Aubrey Place along Avebury Boulevard in central Milton Keynes. Its close proximity to the main shopping centre and mixed-use developments featuring offices, restaurants and bars makes it an ideal location for a Moxy Hotel.

Introduced to the project by our client Vastint Hospitality in 2017, we began by studying Milton Keynes and its distinctive grid-based city layout. We reflected this grid system concept within the building’s cladding design, incorporating Moxy’s signature purple through feature lighting elements. These lighting elements transform the building’s appearance from day to night, helping it stand out from neighbouring developments.

Spanning 9 floors, the hotel comprises 210 bedrooms, front-of-house areas and a semi-basement car park. The 7 upper bedroom floors are constructed using prefabricated bathroom pods and Cross Laminated Timber (CLT). The interior design of the front-of-house areas draws inspiration from Formula 1, creating a direct connection to Milton Keynes where many Formula 1 teams are based.

The hotel also achieves LEED Gold certification, demonstrating strong environmental credentials.
This project shouts Moxy with its cool interior and striking cladding design.
