Pilgrim House

Location: Aberdeen
Size: 960m2 gross floor area

Pilgrim House is part of the North Dee business quarter office developments. This regeneration project is gradually replacing single storey fish processing units between the River Dee and the Harbour in Aberdeen. The four storey office development, with a construction cost of £4.6 million, completes the pair of office buildings lining Old Ford Road

The building comprises four floors of office suites with a reception and under croft car parking on the ground floor and has achieved a BREEAM Excellent rating. The rest of the triangular site is populated with landscaping and car parking. The entrance, situated on an acute road junction, is celebrated by a fully glazed tower and is capped with an upwards sweeping roof to let in North light. The steel panel cladding and feature I-beams banding the tower echo the site’s industrial history and context.

Cumming and Co worked with the client Miller Cromdale Ltd and the contractor Balfour Beatty plc to provide high quality office space with panoramic views of the branching rails of the railway station and the Aberdeen skyline.
