Founded in 1902, Deeside Golf Club is one of the North East’s most prestigious clubs, enjoying incredible panoramic views of the Dee Valley and providing an exceptional golfing and social experience for members, guests and visitors. We were privileged to be invited to work closely with our client on the recent refurbishment of their clubhouse interior.

The vaulted ground floor entrance hall showcases the historic members’ boards, while the vista through full-height glazing draws visitors into the lounge bar with its stunning views over the 18th green. The lounge leads to the trophy room, which celebrates the club’s rich history with a timeline wall of historic photographs, and the restaurant with spectacular views over both the 1st and 18th greens.

Creating a welcoming, comfortable environment with a modern twist on tradition was paramount for the club. Bespoke Axminster carpeting and quality furniture upholstered in natural wools and leather feature throughout, with all materials carefully sourced and selected in collaboration with our client. Additional timber lockers were crafted for the lower floor to match existing joinery, alongside new solid surface washroom units that reflect the client’s vision for a high-end finish.

New, more efficient ventilation, air conditioning and lighting systems were installed to reduce utility consumption while improving member comfort. The design team of quantity surveyors, M&E specialists, joiners and decorators worked collaboratively with main contractor SIR Joinery to deliver the project within a tight programme, allowing the club to reopen swiftly to delighted members.
